Equipment Services
BRHS has an extensive range of equipment available for hire. You may need this equipment when you leave hospital to maintain your independence or to keep you safe at home.
The type of products we can provide are:
- Over-toilet frames
- Shower stools
- Bed sticks
- Bedside commodes
- Wheeled walkers
- Walking frames
- Crutches
- Taxi commodes
- TENS machines
- Wheelchairs
Hire equipment is loaned out on the following terms.
DEPOSITS:
A deposit must be paid prior to the issue of any equipment. Deposits will only be refunded when all items of equipment are returned.
BRHS HOSPITAL DISCHARGE:
A therapist may recommend equipment for you to use at home. You will be required to pay a deposit on these items however you will have a free hire period of 30 days.
OUTPATIENT HIRE:
Outpatients may hire our equipment if available. A deposit is payable on collection along with the expected hire fee.
How do I collect my equipment?s
It is your responsibility to collect equipment. Generally your equipment will be available to collect from the Allied Health Service.
Where do I pay?s
All payments for Hire Equipment can be made at the Allied Health Reception using Visa or MasterCard, EFTPOS, cash or cheque.
Where do I return equipment?
Your equipment should be returned to the Allied Health Service. When ALL of your equipment is returned your deposit will be refunded. If you cannot return your equipment a collection fee of $20.00 will apply.
