Physiotherapy

The physiotherapy department provides a broad range of services. The core services include Inpatients and Outpatients, which is dynamically tailored to meet the existing needs of the community.

Acute care services are provided to inpatients to assist with recovery during their stay in hospital. The acute wards include; Gabo Medical, Fraser Surgical, Rotamah Medical/Paediatrics & Midwifery & Emergency Department. These services cover a variety of patient conditions / pathologies, including:

• Respiratory care associated with emphysema, bronchitis, chronic obstructive airway disease and abdominal surgery.
• General acute musculoskeletal problems following injury, surgery, arthritis, amputations and joint replacements.
• Gait and mobility assessments.
