Patient Enquiries
All patient enquiries are directed to the ward Nurse Unit Manager via hospital reception. The hospital reception is attended seven days per week between the hours of 7.30am and 9.30pm

What will you wear during your stay?
We would like you to wear your own night attire including slippers and dressing gown. Casual/comfortable clothes in some wards is acceptable. Please make arrangements for collection and laundering of personal articles.

Food Services
Our catering staff appreciates the importance of good, wholesome meals, and special dietary requirements are easily accommodated. Menus are circulated daily and meals are delivered to the wards at approximately:

Breakfast: 8am
Lunch: 12noon
Evening: 5.30pm

You are requested not to have food brought into the hospital unless you have discussed this with the Nurse Unit Manager.

Dining Room
The BRHS dining room is open to the general public and offers a wide selection of meals at a reasonable price. The dining room is located on the ground floor near the elevator and serves meals to the public between 12.45pm and 1.30pm. Meals are available at other times by special arrangement. Please discuss with nursing staff for further details. Tea and coffee is available before 4pm each day.

Kiosk Service
The kiosk is located on the ground floor, opposite the dining room. Volunteers from the hospital kiosk auxiliary offer the service. Hours of operation are: Daily from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-8pm, and 10am-12pm Mon-Fri. You may purchase sweets, chocolates, sweetened and artificially sweetened beverages, icecreams, greeting cards and some personal items.

Flowers
Hospital volunteers will undertake daily to place and manage your floral arrangements. Local florists deliver flowers directly to the wards wherever possible.

Patient Entertainment System
You can enjoy state of the art radio, TV and video viewing during your hospitalisation. All TVs are wall or ceiling mounted to ensure optimal viewing pleasure. All proceeds from the rental fee are allocated to the replacement of vital medical equipment.

Rental fees are payable in advance at the main reception cashier office seven days a week. Please refer to brochure available at reception for conditions of rental.
