This week, May 20 – 26, is National Volunteer Week, and we are taking this opportunity to thank the enormous contribution that volunteers make to Bairnsdale Regional Health Service, and to the community.
Approximately 250 volunteers currently give their time and talents to BRHS, undertaking all sorts of tasks, including providing transportation services and helping patients and visitors get around the hospital, raising funds for vital equipment, and helping our facilities team.
Their contributions cannot be overestimated, and we are forever grateful for the investment of time and energy they make to BRHS everyday.
Established in 1989, National Volunteer Week provides an opportunity to highlight the role of volunteers in our community and to say thank you to the more than 6 million Australians who volunteer.
We’ll be featuring some of our volunteers this week with stories on our blog and social media feeds, so keep an eye out for those at www.facebook.com/YourBRHS
And if you know a volunteer at BRHS that deserves a pat on the back from the great work they do, let us know – email BRHS’ Media and Communications Coordinator, Jake Lynch, at email@example.com. And be sure to share our great volunteer stories on social media using #NVW2019
