Registered Nurse – Oncology

Parental Leave Coverage Role

Part Time, 16.0 hours per fortnight

The BRHS Oncology Unit has a vacancy for a highly skilled nurse who is passionate about cancer nursing.  Due to the limited eft available, this role would ideally suit an experienced chemotherapy nurse, however applications will be accepted from nurses with acute experience who are interested and capable of developing an understanding of the principals involved in treating patients with cancer.

This role offers family friendly working hours and provides an opportunity for the incumbents to be supported in gaining further knowledge and education in Chemotherapy Administration.

The Oncology Medical Ambulatory Day Unit (MADU) provides care to patients in association with the visiting Oncologists. Care includes administration of chemotherapy and related agents. This incorporates management of all intravenous access devices, education and ongoing management of treatment side effects for patients and families. The Unit currently operates in a clinical capacity from Tuesday to Friday.

Applications close Sunday 25th September 2016
