What is Social Support Service?
Social Support Service provides a friendly place to share a meal, catch up with friends or make new ones and enjoy a range of social activities that can assist with better health and wellbeing. The service can also service as respite for carers. Activities are developed in consultation with participants and carers to ensure that individual needs are met.
Who can attend?
People who are aged over 65 years and live within the local community are welcome to attend the group. People of any age who have a disability are also welcome.
What is the cost?
The cost is set by the Department of Health and Human Services HACC schedule of fees. Contact the Social Services Team on 5152 0222 to find out more.

Social Support Services are funded by Home and Community Care (HACC) and Commonwealth Home Support Program and are underpinned by the Active Service Model .
