“Eilis comes to work every day with enthusiastic ideas and always, always, always has a smile on her face.”
“She makes patients laugh and provides them with a level of care and knowledge that is far beyond the years of a new graduate.”
These were just a couple of the comments we received about Physiotherapist Eilis O’Haire, winner of the Best First Year Player category of BRHS Trademark Behaviours Awards this week.
Originally from Melbourne, Eilis (pronounced “Eye-lish” – a traditional Irish name) joined the BRHS Physio team in January to do her grad year, and in quick time became a much appreciated and respected part of the tight-knit Allied Health crew.
In the words of the award she has just won, Eilis “displayed a consistently high level of enthusiasm and competence in their new role, demonstrating a willingness to step up and take responsibility.”
The Trademark Behaviours Awards are an annual celebration of good people doing great things at BRHS, and recognise employees and teams that exemplify one or more of BRHS’ Trademark Behaviours:
- Step up and Take Responsibility
- Be Positive and Support Others
- Display Trust and Mutual Respect
- Learn and Apply Knowledge
- Courage to Change
Here’s a few other nice things Eilis’ colleagues had to say about her…
“Eilis uses any spare time she has to go and assist her colleagues on the wards or to assist complex patients with therapy to further her own learning.”
“Eilis also goes out of her way to get social activities started within the allied health team. She is a great teacher as well often taking on students when her supervisors are under the pump and has had excellent feedback from these students.”
“Eilis is a fun and happy person to work with and improves the work culture at BRHS.”
“Eilis has shown nothing but professionalism, kindness, initiative and has been the perfect example of a delightful new grad physio that any organisational would be lucky to have.”
Congratulations, Eilis! And a huge thank you to all the people that took a few moments out of your day to nominate someone for the Trademark Behaviours Awards.
By showing your appreciation for the people you work with, you made a real contribution to growing a strong culture of encouragement and support here at BRHS.
