Oh, the secret talents that lie within!

BRHS Nurse Educator Paula McCombe shared her sparkly gifts with the world this week, generously hosting a series of tap dancing sessions for her colleagues here at the hospital.

Even the most toe-tied clodhoppers amongst us were soon tapping out a beat under Paula’s patient instruction.

It was excellent fun, and a good workout to boot.

This was just one of a number of pop-up events, demonstrations and info sessions on all kinds of things related to health, wellbeing and mindfulness at BRHS this month, part of our Make Time for a Healthy Mind campaign, an employee-led effort to help all staff at BRHS manage the personal demands of their work and find time to stay happy, healthy and balanced.

1 – 2 p.m: 60-minute Self Care Session – Tips with a focus on inner balance to survive trauma and prevent burnout.
