This Sunday, March 8, is International Women’s Day, a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

Here at BRHS we’re using the occasion to raise the profile of the many women who do powerful things in their community every day.

So we’re asking our staff to tell us the name of a woman they admire.

As you’d expect, the answers so far are varied and diverse. They are family members, friends and neighbours. They are politicians, business leaders and advocates. They are here and they are everywhere.

How about you? Can you tell us about a woman you admire?

Whatever you’re up to this Sunday, March 8, take a moment to think about the remarkable women you know.
