In 2019, approximately 200 volunteers contributed more than 13,000 hours of time and expertise to the Bairnsdale Regional Health Service.

That remarkable contribution from so many members of the local community was certainly reason for celebration at the annual BRHS Volunteers Christmas Lunch on Monday.

“It is such a privilege to have you as part of the BRHS community,” said CEO Robyn Hayles, speaking to the volunteers in a packed and festive function room at the Bairnsdale Sporting and Convention Centre.

Hayles recognised the breadth and diversity of the volunteers activities – from the fundraising efforts of the Kiosk Auxiliary and the Bower Birds, to the Flower Auxiliary, the Ambassadors, and the myriad of volunteers that provide vital assistance at Maddocks Gardens, the Ross Street Campus, and across all departments.

To all our volunteers, past and present, we wish you a very Merry Christmas to you and your families, and a Happy New Year.
