“One Place I Love” Campaign Celebrates Your Favourite Spots in East Gippsland!

It’s been a rough month here in East Gippsland, hasn’t it?

Without needing to speak of the obvious, the first few weeks of 2020 have been hard for many, and devastating for some.

Give a shout-out to that one special spot in East Gippsland that floats your boat or soothes your soul – use #oneplaceilove on social media, and be sure to tag us!

It’s been a stressful, difficult and saddening time.

But here at BRHS, we haven’t forgotten just how lucky we are to live in this beautiful community, in this lovely part of the world.

And so we want to help beat back the despondency by focusing for a moment on all the stunning, peaceful, breathtaking, serene, jaw-dropping and mind-blowing places in East Gippsland that we love.

Our #OnePlaceILove campaign is nothing more than a simple excuse to give a shout-out to that one special spot in East Gippsland that floats your boat or soothes your soul.

Maybe it’s a special stretch of beach somewhere, or a table out the back in your favourite local restaurant.

For some people, it might be where they catch the sunrise. For others, a dance class, or a mountain bike track, or an art gallery.

Wherever it is for you, we’re hoping you’ll share it with everybody, and help us all remember and celebrate the amazing places that we all love in East Gippsland.

Use #oneplaceilove to share a pic of special spot on social media, and be sure to tag us!

Here’s “one place I love” from BRHS’ own Jake Lynch.

WHERE IS ONE PLACE YOU LOVE?

The Tambo River.

We live in Metung, so it’s close by, and I drive along it almost every day. It’s the best commute I ever had!

The beautiful lakes and rivers were a big reason we decided to move to East Gippsland.

I’m a pretty terrible fisherman, but spending a few hours with my family on the banks of the river, watching the birds glide by, is so serene and relaxing. Luckily, I’m rarely interrupted by actually catching a fish.

My son will throw some rocks in the water, and we’ll watch the sun set. Very chilled, very beautiful.
