Many thanks to Don and Kay of the musical group Moore Fiddling Around, who donated their time and talents with a special fundraising concert at our aged care facility, Maddocks Gardens, today.
The residents of Maddocks Gardens are this week raising money for bushfire relief with a series of speakers and events.
On Monday Michael Metcalfe of the Metung CFA gave a very informative talk on the bushfires that decimated the region earlier this summer.
And on Tuesday, Maddocks Gardens hosted a speaker from the Marine Mammal Foundation, a nonprofit organisation that supports marine mammal conservation, research and education.
Tomorrow, residents will continue their fundraising efforts, with the Maddocks Gardens Happy Chefs selling homemade zucchini relish in the main foyer from 10:30 a.m..
All funds raised will go to the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund.
For more information about this, or any other of the great activities happening at Maddocks Gardens, speak to any of the Maddocks Gardens Lifestyle staff or call 5150 3659.
