Tennis. Bad For Tennis Balls, Good For People

Did you know that Venus Williams once served a tennis ball at 205 km/h? That’s the fastest recorded serve in women’s tennis.

The good news is you don’t have to be Venus Williams to join a BRHS team in the Bairnsdale Tennis Club Spring Corporate Tennis Classic!

Interested in playing social tennis? Email phew@brhs.com.au or contact Mardi McLaughlin in People and Culture on ext. 66619.

(In fact, she tried to join our team but we turned her down. Too serious.)

BRHS is hoping to enter a team in the upcoming Friday evening competition starting Oct. 25, but we can only do so if we have enough players.

If you’d like to add some fun and exercise to the end of your working week by smacking a little fluffy yellow ball around with some good people, we want to hear from you!

The night has a social emphasis with doubles tennis only and involves players with a range of ability levels.

Supper is provided each week and players are encouraged to stay and socialise after play each week.

The cost is only $4 per player per night, thanks to a subsidy from our Positive Health and Employee Wellbeing (PHEW).

(New players are very welcome and needed and you do not need to be available every week.)
